weddings and washing

It was Fi and Adam's wedding on Saturday at the amazing Brownsover Hall. The weather was sunny and amazingly it didn't rain all day. Everyone involved in the wedding looked amazing particularly Fiona.
Today is Monday and Jacob is at nursery and I am meant to be doing school work for next year. Instead I am doing washing and writing this blog. I blame Gemma as she nagged me into updating. Sounds easy but it took 3 hours just to sign in to my account.
Jacob finishes nursery for ever tomorrow. The end of an era. Must buy his school uniform this week. I will put pictures on when I have my camera back. It is at nursery with Jacob so that pictures can be taken of him and his friends and nursery nurses.

That Thursday feeling

Love Thursdays! Must be something to do with anticipating Friday. Had a superb day at work today. Starting to get sorted for next year. Been to buy food for bbq tomorrow for some of my old work chums. By the end of this year we will all have left the school where we met! How strange!? Congratulations Laura on your new job! Must dash now to make the burgers. Hope they are up to scratch Gemma!

Just marinading some pork chops in a special sauce I bought from Lakeland a few weeks ago. Smells divine. Will let you know what I think of them. Taking my class to Wales tomorrow and bringing the other class back. Should be a long day in a mini bus! But worth it as the kids get loads from it. Jacob was in his paddling pool earlier and the storm started and he decided he doesn't like thunder now. Isn't it weird and scary to think how people influence children with their fears as we have no problem with storms but clearly someone he has spoken to recently is a scaredy cat.

Hot and ooky

Too hot for words today! My classroom is on the hot side of the school and was at a constant 30 degrees today! I found it tough to work and keep the students motivated as all I could dream about was sitting on a deckchair dangling my feet in the paddling pool with a glass of cold cider. Two more Mondays left before the summer as one of my fellow teachers said today. Hooray!

Superb summery weekend

Had an amazing weekend. Richard went camping with some friends and Jacob and I got the paddling pool out. It is huge and I blew it up by mouth. Jacobs friend Lucy came round with her Mum and we played in the garden and watched the football. On Sunday we took the children to the most amazing park in Warwick which had a mini funfair, a paddling pool and swings and slides too! Definatley going again soon.
